We are looking for well-experienced Chefs for “Ascari Enoteca” located at 1111 Queen St E, Toronto, ON M4M 1K7, Canada and various regional locations.

No. of positions – 03 

JOB DUTIES:

• Provide guidance and training to junior kitchen staff on line cooking, preparation techniques, and elegant dish plating, ensuring alignment with culinary standards.

• Implement and oversee a first-in, first-out food rotation system to maintain freshness and quality. Verify that all food products are properly labelled, dated, and stored in accordance with health and safety regulations.

• Ensure all cooking stations are fully stocked and prepared for seamless operations, especially during peak service times, to maintain high service standards.

• Hire, train, and onboard new kitchen team members to uphold the commitment to excellence in Italian-inspired cuisine and exceptional service.

• Oversee food and product ordering, maintaining detailed records to minimize waste. Work with systems and suppliers to enhance waste reduction strategies and meet budgetary objectives.

• Supervise all food preparation and presentation to meet the elevated standards of the menu, delivering consistency and excellence to every plate.

• Regularly inspect and manage food storage units to ensure they meet quality and safety standards, supporting operational efficiency.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update a standardized recipe book, preserving the authenticity and consistency of dishes.

Prerequisites:

Education: Secondary School or equivalent

Experience & Skills: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience 

Language: English

Annual Salary: $53,200 to $56,000  for 30 to 40 hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent

Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay
