Child caregiver – private home (Permanent employment, Full time 30 to 40 hours / week)

Location: Vancouver, BC

Salary: $16.00 / hour (To be negotiated)

Work Setting: Work in employer's/client's home. Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment. Public transportation is available   

Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Scent free

 

 

Specific Skills: Bathe, dress and feed children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Prepare children for rest periods, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Supervise and care for children

Additional Skills: Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Travel with family on trips and assist with children supervision and housekeeping duties

 

 

Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Security and Safety: Criminal record check

Personal Suitability: Initiative, Organized, Judgement, Flexibility, Reliability, Team player, Effective interpersonal skills, Client focus

Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
