Hours: Part-time from May to July 2021 (with a busier period in May)
Full-time from August to mid-September 2021
Hourly salary: $25/hr

COVID-19 pandemic:
Remote work is a possibility and may be required for this position, in which case the incumbent will be using
personal equipment. Technical support and secure remote access to the NAC’s systems (Outlook, Teams
etc.) will be provided.
 
Key activities:
The Zones Théâtrales is looking for a Communications/Marketing Officer. Zones Théâtrales is a biennial event
whose mission is to present and promote professional theatre from Francophone communities across Canada
and the Quebec regions. The 2021 edition of Zones will take place from September 13 to 18, 2021.
The incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to, carrying out the following tasks:
– Preparing and implementing a communication plan;
– Preparing and implementing a marketing plan (including media placement for the event);
– Overseeing media relations for the biennial event;
– Preparing and implementing the social media plan;
– Writing content for the event website and promotional tools, and coordinating their translation;
– Coordinating the production of promotional tools and publicity material;
– Supporting the organization in several other tasks related to the smooth operation and production of
  the event.
 
Required qualifications:
– Relevant training or experience in communications/marketing;
– Excellent communication skills;
– Team player, strong organizational skills and leadership;
– Excellent command of spoken and written French;
– Good knowledge of English;
– Knowledge of the theatre community (an asset);
– Knowledge of / interest in the Franco-Canadian cultural community (an asset);
– Experience in public relations (an asset).
