Description: Permanent Fulltime 40 hours per week

Employment Conditions: Day, Early morning, Evening, Flexible hours, Morning, Night, Overtime, Shift, Weekend

Language: English

Education: College CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or euivalent experience

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Work Site Environment:

  • Personal and social adjustment and health (substance abuse, gambling, behaviour disorders),
  • Programs dealing with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Work Setting:

  • Group Home
  • Work in employer's/client's home
  • Rural area
  • Community centre
  • Private residence

Responsibilities (Tasks):

  • Administrative and office activities
  • Appraise client's or eligibility for specific services
  • Assess client's relevant skill, strengths and development needs
  • Develop, co-ordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community
  • Housekeeping activities
  • Food preparation
  • Resolve conflict situations
  • Implement behaviour management programs
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings

Credentials:

  • Mandt System training
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
