Position Info:

• Position: Geological Technician
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $37.00~$40.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 19545 Telegraph Trail, Surrey, BC V4N 4G9

Job Duties:

• Participate in geological, geophysical, geochemical, hydrographic, or oceanographic surveys, field prospecting trips, exploratory drilling, well logging, underground mine surveys, and environmental audits and protection activities
• Prepare notes, sketches, geological maps, and cross-sections
• Assist in environmental audits and direct surveys or survey initiatives
• Assist in the preparation, transcription, or analysis of seismic, gravimetric, well log, and other geophysical and survey data
• Help prepare rock, mineral, or metal samples and conduct physical and chemical laboratory tests
• Support hydrogeological field and laboratory studies and assist in report preparation
• Handle administrative responsibilities, such as keeping filing systems and maintaining records

Job Requirements:

• Education: A two-to-three-year college program in a related field is required
• Experience: 1-2 years of related experience is required
• Language: English
