Responsibilities
Tasks
- Prepare ingredients for cooking according to Boston Pizza’s recipes and standards. This includes chopping vegetables and other necessary preparations.
- Cook and grill various menu items such as pizzas, pasta, burgers, sandwiches and appetizers.
- Adhere strictly to Boston Pizza’s recipes and portion sizes to ensure food quality and taste consistency.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following proper food safety and hygienic practices.
- Utilize cooking techniques to cook a diverse range of menu items and maintain consistency in flavour and presentation.
- Work efficiently to handle orders promptly, minimizing wait times and ensuring customer satisfaction during busy periods.
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff members to streamline operations and ensure smooth workflow.
- Inspect and taste dishes to ensure they meet the restaurant’s quality standards before being served to customers.
- Potentially handle the cleaning of both the kitchen and work areas.
- Develop menus, assess portion sizes, estimate food needs and expenses and manage ordering.
