We are looking for well-experienced cooks to work for The Bohemian Cafe & Catering Company located at 524 Bernard Ave, Kelowna, BC V1Y 6P1, Canada. However, you may be required to work at various locations in the region.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, following recipes and portion standards to deliver consistent, high-quality meals.

• Craft appetizers, mains, and daily specials as per the menu, ensuring efficient and timely service.

• Customize dishes to meet specific customer requests, catering to dietary preferences and requirements.

• Work closely with the kitchen team to manage and prioritize orders during peak times.

• Support and guide kitchen assistants and junior staff to maintain a smooth workflow.

• Set up and stock your station each day, ensuring all necessary ingredients, supplies, and tools are ready for service.

• Properly store, rotate, and organize ingredients to maintain freshness and minimize waste.

• Regularly clean and maintain kitchen equipment, keeping everything safe and ready for use.

• Monitor stock levels and prepare fresh ingredients daily to ensure top quality and reduce waste.

• Keep workstations and storage areas clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift to maintain a safe and efficient kitchen environment.

Prerequisites:

Education: Secondary school or equivalent. 

Experience & Skills: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience 

Language: English

Hourly Rate: $17.40 to $25 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
