Sushi Umi Restaurant is a renowned restaurant in North Vancouver, BC, Canada. We are committed to delivering exceptional food and service, and we are currently seeking an experienced Cook to join our talented team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
  • Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
  • Oversee kitchen operations
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • May clean kitchen and work area
  • May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
  • May hire and train kitchen staff.

Requirements:

– Completion of secondary school.

– 3+ years of commercial cooking experience is required.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Wage: $37-$38 per hour (negotiable), plus 4% vacation pay
  • Working hours:  30-40 hours per week (Full-time position)
