Salary: $18.00 per hour
Job Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is required
- 1-2 years relevant experience in the field
Job Duties:
- Prepare food for service (e.g. Chopping vegetables, or preparing sauces)
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience, using various kitchen utensils and equipment
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Setup and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Train kitchen staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Assist in cleaning workplace
- Assist in maintain utensils and equipment.
- Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils.
