Hiring Ethnic Cook
Hoki Poke is now hiring full-time Korean & Japanese Specialty Cook for permanent position
Salary: $14.00/Hourly
Job Type: Full-Time, 40hrs/wk, Full-time/Permanent
Position Available: 1
Benefit: 4% of gross salary for vacation or 10 days paid vacation
Main duties:
• Prepare and cook sashimi bowl, burrito and soup in the menu
• Prepare sashimi, meat, vegetable and special sauce
• Create seasonal, cost-effective menu and specials of the day
• Clean kitchen and work area
• Maintain inventory, safety and records of food, supplies and equipment
• Ensure operation level of profitability and client satisfaction
• Implement recruiting, training staff if necessary
• Determine size of food portions and estimate food cost and requirements
Requirements:
• Completion of Secondary School
• Minimum 2-year of commercial cooking experience OR Completion of a 3 year apprenticeship program for cooks OR Completion of college or other program in cooking
• English is required
• Japanese/Korean cooking experience is to be preferred
