Job Duties:
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
Assist Winery Chef in leading a team to prepare and execute daily service and
private events
Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
May set up and oversee buffets
May clean kitchen and work area
May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
May hire and train kitchen staff.
Job Requirements:
Food Service Prep Certificate
Courteous, friendly, professional attitude – demonstrated Emotional Intelligence
Detail oriented, multitasking ability and strong work ethic required – both individually
and in a team
Culinary expertise in various cooking techniques and cuisine.
Food Safe & WHIMIS
Able to lift 40lbs, work in hot summer temperatures & stand for long periods of time
Able to work weekends throughout the season and evenings for weddings and other
