Position Info:

• Position: Child-care Centre Director
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $6,400-$6,900/month (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: 1116-1470 Prairie Avenue, Port Coquitlam, BC V3B 5M8

Job Duties:

• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate child-care and early childhood education programs in accordance with licensing requirements
• Manage the daily operations of the child-care centre, ensuring a safe, healthy and nurturing environment for all children
• Establish and implement administrative procedures that support the centre’s objectives and meet provincial regulations
• Manage program delivery with a focus on child development, well-being and parental engagement
• Direct and advise professional ECE educators and support staff delivering services and educational programs
• Develop, administer and monitor budgets for programs, equipment, and operational needs
• Oversee the maintenance of required records, including children’s files, staff certifications and financial information
• Represent the centre in interactions with parents, licensing officials and community partners
• Participate in policy development related to curriculum, safety protocols, and operational improvements
• Hire, train, and manage professional and support staff
• Ensure compliance with staff-to-child ratios and promote a high standard of professional conduct among all employees

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience: 3~5 years of experience in a related occupation is required
• Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
