Description
Fraser Montessori Daycare in BC is seeking qualified Early Childhood Educator.
Job Position: Early Childhood Educator, Permanent, Full-time
Job Location: 1408 5th Avenue New Westminster, BC V3M 1Z5
Wages: $22.50 per hour, 30~ 40 hours per week
Required Experience and qualification:
– Early Childhood Education Diploma
– Valid BC Early Childhood Educator License
– Valid First Aid Certificate
– Good communication skills in English
Key Responsibilities:
– Care and guide children positively and respectfully
– Develop child-care programs related physical, emotional, social and academic development of children
– Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, etc.
– Plan and conduct activity programs for young children
– Observe children for signs of potential learning disabilities and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
– Ensures the safety of all children in the Centre
– Understand child development
– Act to the individual needs and learning styles of children
– Ensure that children are supervised at all the times such as washroom, nap room and etc.
– Plan and provide appropriate activities to assure smooth transitions throughout the day
