Precious Early Years Childcare is looking for an Early Childhood Educator to work with us at our new facility located at 733 13th Street, New Westminster, BC. We are looking for someone who is a team player, able to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner, and most importantly, understand children’s growth and development and enjoying working with them.
Title: Early Childhood Educator
Opening: 1 position (Permanent, Full-time)
Wage: CAD 18.00 per hour (ECE wage enhancement will be paid separately)
Hours of Work: At least 30 hours per week
Benefit: 4% of each pay, professional workshops paid by the center
Location: 733 13th Street, New Westminster, B.C. V3M 4M6
Basic Requirements:
- College certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education
- BC Early Childhood Educator's License
- Related work experience an asset
- Criminal record check
- Immunization records
Main Duties:
- Maintain a friendly relationship with children and their parents
- Build feelings of security and trust in children, and monitor their daily activities
- Talk, sing, and read to children
- Observe children for any signs of emotional problems and learning disabilities
- Share information regarding the learning progress of children with parents and other educators
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, and assist in regular housekeeping duties
- Assist manager in keeping records
