Chabad of Vancouver Island dba Ctots Childhood Education Centre in Victoria, BC is looking for a Full-Time, Permanent Early Childhood Educator.

Conditions

Position: Early Childhood Educator (NOC 42202)
Full-Time, Permanent position, 40 hrs/week (Day, Morning)
Hourly Wage: $21.00-23.00/hour (wage to be determined depend on experience and skills)
Benefit: Extended Health, Dental care
Vacation: 10 days paid vacation/year

Requirements:

Experience in child care is an asset
Education: College diploma or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education
Credentials: First Aid Certificate; Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate; CPR Certificate
Criminal Record Check
Language: English

Job Duties:

Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
Provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers
