Reach for the Stars Montessori Learning Academy is looking for an Early Childhood Educator Assistant to work with us at our facility located at 3440 Boundary Road, Burnaby. We are looking for someone who is a team player, able to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner, and most importantly, understands children’s growth and development and enjoys working with them.
Job Details
Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant
Opening: 1 position (Permanent, Full-time)
Wage: CAD 20.00 – CAD 24.00 per hour
Hours of Work: At least 30 hours per week
Benefit: 4% of vacation pay or 10 days of paid vacation
Location: 3440 Boundary Road, Burnaby, British Columbia V5M 4A5
Requirements:
- Early Childhood Educator Assistant License is required
- Previous work experience in childcare is an asset
- Completion of Early Childhood Educator Assistant program is an asset
- Criminal Record Check
Main Duties:
- Assist children with daily routines such as toileting, dressing, eating, and sleeping
- Ensure children are supervised at all times and engaged in safe activities throughout the day
- Responsible for checking that any equipment or facilities are safe and free of risk
- Provide snacks and organize rooms or furniture for lunch and periods
- Support early childhood educators in supervising and interacting with children at all times in all classrooms, outside, and playground
- Provide written notes on children to early childhood educators and supervisors
