We are looking for an experienced “Executive Chef” located at 2600 College Street, Sherbrooke, QC J1M 1Z7, Canada.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and direct all food preparation and culinary operations for the campus dining and catering services at Bishop’s University.
Develop creative, diverse, and nutritionally balanced menus that reflect current food trends and meet client preferences and dietary needs.
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency across all meal periods and functions.
Analyze kitchen operations, identify process improvements, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service excellence.
Ensure strict compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations, including MAPAQ certification standards.
Lead by example in maintaining a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment that fosters staff development and engagement.
Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen team members to uphold Aramark’s service and performance standards.
Monitor inventory levels, conduct monthly stock checks, and place food and supply orders in line with operational needs.
Collaborate with management on implementing marketing initiatives, sustainability efforts, and continuous improvement in culinary services.
Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling of kitchen staff, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with labour standards.
Prerequisites:
Education: Diploma in Food Service Management/DEP in institutional cooking or equivalent experience.
Experience & Skills: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in food industry
Language (Bilingual): English and French (mandatory)
Annual Salary: $80,000 – $82,500 Annually for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full time and permanent
