Description
Nirvair & Litt Farm Ltd. Located at 39330/39452 S Parallel Rd, Abbotsford, BC V3G 2T4 and 41575 No 4 Rd. Chilliwack, BC V2R 0M7, is looking for 8 Farm Workers to work .
The Farm Workers will perform the following duties:
- Prepare land for planting
- Report to and follow directions of supervisor
- Plant and harvest blueberries
- Prune beginning after leaf drop
- Remove diseased and dead wood
- Irrigate plants as directed
- Incorporate sawdust or compost in planting beds as directed
- Flush irrigation systems and sprayers to protect against winter damage
- Maintain, clean, and store farm tools after use
- Store harvested fruits as directed
- Prepare soil, plant, seed, graft and bud plants, transplant seedlings and rooted cuttings
Skills/Abilities:
- Heavy lifting required.
- Ability to work long hours, early mornings and weekends if required.
- Ability to work outdoors in ALL weather conditions.
- No previous experience as a farm worker is required, however, previous experience is an asset.
Salary offered: $15.20/hr. for 40 hours/week.
