Fiberglass Repair Technician

Description

Watertight Boatworks is a Canadian owned and operated company servicing yacht maintenance and repair, specializing in gel coat, colour matching, fiberglass repair, hull waxing, bottom repair etc. The company is looking for a fiberglass repair technician.

Duties and responsibilities:

– fiberglass repair and fabrication

– spraying fine finish paint

– cosmetic bodywork, polishing

– other detailing duties

– access to vehicle for occasional off-site project and to transport materials and supplies, along with tools to and from the job site.

This position reports directly to the company's owner/operator, who will also provide instruction as needed.

Job location is at 1331 McKeen Avenue, North Vancouver BC.

Proficient understanding of written and spoken English is required.

Education and Experience:

– Grade 12 completion OR equivalent

– completion of apprenticeship program in fiberglass and paint repairs OR college, high school or industry courses combined with minimum of 3 years of work experience maintaining and performing fiberglass and paint repairs OR minimum of 4 years of on-the-job training and work experience maintaining and performing fiberglass and paint repairs.

Interested applicants must be willing to commit to long term.

Hourly rate is $28.00. CPP EI employer paid. Benefits include Life, Disability, Dental and Extended Health Coverage (enrollment after 3 month probation period).
