***This posting is ONLY for youth positions as part of the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) Program. Only applicants who meet the following criteria for CSJ, as set out by the Government of Canada (Employment and Social Development Canada), are eligible to be considered. Applicants who do not meet the criteria and who do not submit the requested mandatory application documents listed in the below section “Who can Apply” will NOT be considered.
Working within the Finance team and under the supervision of the Associate Director, the Finance Clerk assists with the Finance system implementation, as well as miscellaneous administrative tasks such as data uploads, payables and documentation.
 
Required qualifications:
• A university, college or last year CEGEP student with knowledge of administration and business and experience in the field of Finance, Accounting or Commerce;
• Experience with Digital systems, tools and applications, with a proficient in MS Office suite, particularly in Excel;
• Strong data analysis, attention to detail, precision and adaptability;
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills;
• Must be able to maintain discretion and absolute confidentiality at all times;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple team members;
• Ability to communicate efficiently and professionally with colleagues and clients;
• Ability to follow directions and work with limited supervision;
• Bilingualism in both official languages (English and French) is an asset.

• Must be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment.
• Must be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment**; and,
• have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
• Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents who have self-identified as a member belonging to the Employment Equity group: Women, Aboriginal persons, visible minorities and persons with disabilities.
**International students are not eligible participants. International students include anyone who is temporarily in Canada for studies and who is not a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada. Youth awaiting a refugee status ruling, as well as those who hold a temporary visitor visa, youth visa or work visa are ineligible. As the objective of the Canada Summer Jobs program is to support youth entering the Canadian labour market, the temporary nature of an international student’s time in Canada does not allow for a long-term connection to the labour market.
