1171708 B.C. Ltd. location in Surrey, British Columbia are looking to hire one Full time & Permanent Floor Covering Installer. Though this is a full-time position, we encourage part-timers to apply as well.

 

Jobs and Responsibilities: Floor Covering Installer

  • Inspecting, measuring and preparing surfaces to be covered.
  • Sweeps, scrapes, sands, or chips dirt irregularities from base surfaces, and fills cracks with putty, plaster, or cement grout to form smooth, clean foundation.
  • Measure, cut and install carpeting using hand or machine stitcher, seaming iron, bonding tape or other bonding materials
  • Stretch carpeting using knee-kicker or power stretcher and secure carpeting to floor or other surfaces using staple gun or other devices
  • Install, replace, and repair decorative floor covering such as vinyl tile and sheet vinyl on finished interior floors of buildings.
  • Estimates, measures, and prepares floor surfaces for installation or repair of hard surface floor coverings, both tiles and roll vinyl sheet materials.
  • Install different types of flooring and floor covering in both residential and commercial buildings.
  • Repair damaged floor coverings

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Employment Requirements: Completion of secondary school is required. At least one- or two-years’ experience is required.
