Zara's Pasta Nest Ltd. o/a Zara’s Deli is excited to expand our team with Food Service Counter Attendants. With 30 years of family-owned and operated experience, Zara’s Deli offers a colourful range of fresh pastas, sauces, olives, and assorted antipasti. Complementing our fresh food offerings, we provide an extensive collection of international olive oils, aged balsamic vinegars, and premium quality dry pastas.
Position Available: Food Service Counter Attendants
Type of Position: Permanent, Full-time, Shifts, Weekends
Salary: $20.00 per hour
Job Location and Business Address: #128 – 1689 Johnston Street (Granville Island Public Market), Vancouver, BC V6H 3R9
Qualifications:
- No experience required; training provided!!!
- Enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals
- Good English language skills
- Strong customer service abilities
- Some secondary school education
Responsibilities Include:
- Greeting customers at the counter, taking and preparing their orders;
- Maintaining knowledge of available products, providing customers with details;
- Portioning, assembling and packaging take-out food;
- Preparing (washing, peeling, slicing, cooking) ingredients for and mixing salads;
- Cleaning, slicing and garnishing produce and cold meats using manual and electric appliances;
- Handling point of sale transactions;
- Maintaining deli display fullness, presentation and cleanliness throughout the day;
- Keeping records of product quantities sold and restoking inventory;
- Cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces, appliances and equipment;
- Ensuring overall cleanliness of the store.
