Position: Food Service Supervisor (NOC 62020)

Number of job vacancies: 2

Hours: 5 days /week, 35~40 hours/week

Hourly Wage: $18.50 ~ $20.00 (Depends on experience)

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Benefits: 4% of vacation fee / Extended medical insurance (After 3 months of probation)

Working location: 3593 Main Street Vancouver BC V5V 3N4

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Oversees the daily food service in all areas of kitchen and dining room
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Handle shift schedules for food services workers and assign them tasks on daily basis
  • Coordinate frequent workplace inspections
  • Plan menus and determine related food and labour costs
  • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of worker
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
  • Participates in menu preparation, ensuring menus are updated and recipes are revised
  • Ensuring all equipment is clean and maintained
  • Communicate positively and enthusiastically to the restaurant patrons and address their issues promptly

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of secondary school
  • Flexible availability for weekends & holidays
  • Food safe level 1 & Serving It Right
  • 1 year of work experience in food preparation/service is required
