Permanent Position: Food Service Supervisor
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening shift, if required.
Wage Rate: $20.00 Hourly, for 40 Hours per week.
Number of Vacancies Available: 2
Anticipated Start Date (at the latest in 3 months): As soon as possible
Location: 116 East 15th Street, North Vancouver, British Columbia V7L 2P9 Canada
Education: High School is an asset
Experience: 1 – 2 years of experience in food industry is required.
Languages: English
Work Setting: Restaurant
Types of Meals/Food Prepared: Breakfasts, Lunches, Dinners, All meals, Full course meals
Job Duties:
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food.
• Establish work schedule.
• Estimate and order ingredients and supplies.
• Establish methods to meet work schedules.
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage.
• Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures.
• Supervise and check assembly of regular trays.
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
Essential Skills: Communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Significant use of memory, Continuous learning.
Other: Candidate should be legally entitled to work in Canada. English is required. Part time applicants will be considered.
