Work Location:  A2 1966 Guthrie Road Comox, BC V9M 3X7

Position:  Food Service Worker

Position Available: 4

Compensation: $16.00 per hour

Hours per week: 30 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

 

Job duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other designated storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage, sweep, and mop floors.
  • Wash, peel, and/or cut food items, including fruits, vegetables, or certain types of meats.
  • Weigh or measure ingredients (e.g., flour, salt, sugar, oil).
  • Re-fill kitchen condiment bottles and shakers.
  • Assist the other kitchen staff in unloading shipment of foods and supplies that are needed in the kitchen.
  • Make sure the kitchen is in order by stacking dishes, pots, pans, etc. and having them ready for cooking.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chef or Cooks.

 

Skill Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school is required
  • Relevant 1-2 years of experience is required.
