We are looking for well-experienced “Handyman” for BEST—For A Cleaner World, located at B137-9 King’s College Circle, Toronto, ON, M7A 1A5, Canada, and various regional locations.

JOB DUTIES:​​

  • Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs in classrooms, offices, common areas, and university facilities to ensure proper operation and maintenance.

  • Respond to maintenance requests from staff, faculty, and students, such as fixing plumbing issues, repairing electrical fixtures, and promptly addressing facility-specific maintenance needs.

  • Perform repairs and upkeep on university furniture, fixtures, and equipment, including fixing broken chairs, repairing damaged doors, and ensuring all hardware is secure.

  • Conduct safety inspections and maintenance on fire prevention equipment, emergency lighting, and other safety features throughout the campus buildings to ensure compliance with regulations and the safety of all occupants.

  • Respond to emergency maintenance situations, such as water leaks, power outages, or malfunctioning equipment, to minimize disruption to university operations and ensure the smooth functioning of the facilities.

  • May perform other duties reasonably assigned by the facilities manager.

Prerequisites:

Education:                            Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience & Skills:             1 year to less than 2 years of experience

Language:                            English

Hourly Rate: $ 28.40 to $ 35.00 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week
