Job Position: Head Cashier
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Wage: $17.00/hour
Working Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:
-Supervise and coordinate sales staff and cashiers
-Assign sales workers to duties and prepare work schedules
-Train new cashiers and provide ongoing training for staff, monitoring and reporting on performance
-Authorize payments and the return of merchandise
-Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
-Maintain specified inventory and order merchandise
-Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
-Ensure transactions are correctly recorded and balanced at the end of each shift
-Implement and monitor cash handling procedures to minimize errors and prevent theft
-Ensure the visual standards and image of the store are maintained, including store displays, signage, and cleanliness
-Monitor store entrances and exits, ensuring loss prevention protocols are followed
-Check customer IDs when selling age-restricted items like lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products
-May perform the same duties as workers supervised, including operating the cash register and assisting customers
-May perform key holding and managerial duties if required, such as opening and closing the store, managing escalated complaints, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and signing for deliveries.
Requirements:
-Completion of secondary school is at least required.
-1-2 years of supervised experience in a retail field is required.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
