Healthcare Aide Position – Private Home Care
Location: NW Calgary, AB

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Aide to support a senior woman living with multiple sclerosis. The ideal candidate is experienced, reliable, and committed to providing high-quality, respectful care in a home setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care including bathing, dressing, and hygiene
- Provide support with physiotherapy exercises as directed
- Apply compression socks and assist with lung volume recruitment (LVR)
- Monitor and record blood pressure
- Administer medications accurately
- Perform safe patient transfers using a lift
- Prepare nutritious meals
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe home environment
- Manage laundry and light housekeeping tasks
- Use a computer for basic tasks and care documentation
Required Qualities and Skills:
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Positive attitude and a commitment to providing person-centered care
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working in a home with dogs
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Up-to-date immunizations, including influenza vaccine
- Valid driver’s license and driver’s abstract (ability to drive client’s vehicle)
- Own reliable vehicle for transportation
