Job Description:

L2 Exterior ltd is hiring one Full-time Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic to join their team in Burnaby, British Columbia as soon as possible.

 

Job Duties:

  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on aerial lifts (Genie and JLG S45/S65/S85, S125, Z80), telehandlers, and shop forklifts in exterior cladding environments
  • Maintain mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to ensure safe, efficient operation tailored to cladding installation workflows
  • Establish and execute scheduled maintenance plans, prioritizing uptime for approximately 40 pieces of specialized lift equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair critical components, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic pumps, control panels, lift arms, and drive trains
  • Conduct functionality and safety tests post-maintenance to ensure equipment is field-ready for cladding operations
  • Document service history, part usage, and performance tracking for all equipment in the fleet
  • Offer technical guidance and equipment orientation for cladding crews to ensure proper handling and early issue detection
  • Stock, manage, and operate a mobile service unit equipped with tools, diagnostic gear, and spare parts for rapid job site response
  • Work closely with site supervisors and project teams to align equipment readiness with exterior cladding schedules and terrain logistics
  • Operate diagnostic tools and equipment safely

 

Employment requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school is required.
  • 2-3 years of related experience is required
