About the Role
We are currently seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as Housekeeping Supervisors at the Senator Hotel & Conference Center, located in the heart of Timmins, Ontario. This is a rural town setting with a close-knit community and a well-established hospitality environment. We’re looking for candidates who are ready to take on a supervisory role, supporting and managing our housekeeping operations to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming space for all guests.
Key Responsibilities
Establish, implement, and oversee operational procedures to ensure effective cleaning and infection control—especially during special situations or outbreaks.
Supervise and co-ordinate the work of housekeeping crews and cleaning staff.
Plan daily and weekly schedules for staff and coordinate inspections of assigned areas.
Supervise staff to ensure compliance with safety standards and hotel policies.
Assist cleaners directly with housekeeping tasks when needed.
Recommend or arrange for additional services, including repairs, painting, or furniture replacement.
Select and purchase cleaning supplies and equipment as required.
Collaborate and coordinate with other departments and contract services to ensure efficient operations.
Ensure inventory levels of supplies are maintained.
Maintain high-quality standards for cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience in one or more of the following:
Housekeeping
Light-duty cleaning
Caregiving (with housekeeping duties)
Or relavent to this field.
Prior experience in a supervisory role is not mandatory, but candidates must demonstrate strong organizational and supervisory skills and a willingness to lead a team.
Candidate Requirements
Must be available to work in rotating shifts, including mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and on-call as needed.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Must be willing to relocate to Timmins, Ontario if not already in the area.
Must be able to attend an interview either in person or online.
Must be comfortable working in a rural setting and leading a diverse team in a hotel environment.
