Accounting Clerk

Kingfisher Oceanside Resort & Spa is looking for a positive, energetic, detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join us. This position is full-time and the right candidate is someone who is confident, proactive and professional.

As Accounting Clerk, your job encompasses the following:

• Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of Accounts Payable invoices.
• Ensure invoices are authorized, mathematically correct, prices verified and purchases reconciled.
• Assists resort managers with coding.
• Reconciliation of all statements from Vendors monthly & investigate all outstanding invoices.
• Resolve payment discrepancies and disputes
• Assists the Director of Finance with monthly reconciliations and resort budgeting
• WCB, EHT administration and reconciliation to the General Ledger
• Supports the Director of Finance with various internal and external Finance/Audit requirements
• Carry out other accounting related tasks as required
• Support Payroll/Benefits Administrator with Bi-Weekly payroll

Additionally, we’d like to see these things in you:

• At least 2 Plus years experience in a similar position
• Accounting experience is an asset.
• Resort experience would be considered a strong asset
• Knowledge of Sage 50 is an asset.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Multi tasker that can assist with the accounting demands of a busy resort.
• You have high standards when it comes to details and problem solving
• You can work independently but also enjoy team collaboration
• You value kindness and seek to work in a supportive and inclusive environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Compensation is based on experience.
