Sushi Yama Cafe (Yama Kitchen) in Kelowna is looking for a full time permanent kitchen helper to join the team as soon as possible.
Job Details
Location: 1 – 991 Richter St. Kelowna, BC V1Y 2K4
Hourly rate: $16.75 to $18.00 / hour (To be negotiated)
Vacancies: 1
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time 30 to 40 hours / week
Start date: As soon as possible
Benefit: 4 percent of total wages for vacation pay
Job requirements
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Experience: Any work experience is preferred, but not required.
Job Duties
• Cook, warm, and complete basic food items
• Divide and package food portions
• Wrap take-out meals securely
• Prepare vegetables and fruit by washing, peeling, and cutting them
• Receive, unpack, and organize supplies in fridges, freezers, cabinets, and other storage spots
• Sanitize and tidy up the kitchen, including countertops, cabinets, storage spaces, appliances, and tools
• Store dishes in designated area
• Clean floors thoroughly by sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing
• Dispose of kitchen waste and garbage
