Kitchen Story is looking for a F/T Chef.

Description

Position Info:

• Position: Chef
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $22.50~$25.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: #102 – 2945 Jacklin Road, Victoria, BC V9B 5E3

Benefits:

• 10 days paid vacation per year or 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Plan menus and guarantee that the food complies with high-quality standards
• Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
• Create new recipes
• Oversee cooks and other kitchen staff
• Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to the cooking staff
• Provide guidance to cooks on how to prepare, cook, garnish, and present food
• Make assessments of food needs and calculate the costs for both food and labor

Job Requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience:  2-3 years of commercial cooking experience are required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
