East & West Alum Craft Ltd. is looking for a Lead Welder to join our team.
Title: Lead Welder
Employer: East & West Alum Craft Ltd.
Opening: 2 positions (Permanent, Full-time)
Wage: CAD 35.00 – CAD 38.00 per hour
Working hours: At least 30 hours per week
Benefit: 4% of vacation pay or 10 days of paid vacation, extended benefits after 6 months
Location: 7465 Conway Avenue, Burnaby, BC V5E 2P7
Requirements
- Some secondary school education is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in related field is an asset
- On-the-job training will be provided
Main Duties:
- Calibrate brazing and soldering tools following instructions
- Lead a team of welders to ensure daily targets and deadlines are met.
- Operate previously set up welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts
- Operate brazing and soldering equipment for metal joining or metal filling
- Mentor, and assist junior welders in improving their techniques and safety practices
- Assist with the routine maintenance and repair of equipment
