Position: Line Cook

Working Hours: 35~40 hours per week, 5 days a week, may have to work overtime if needed

Work Shift: It can be daytime, evening, weekends and/or holidays

Wage: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour

Benefits: 4% of vacation fee from gross salary

At Rice and Noodle, our mission is to offer you a new style of Asian inspired cuisine. We believe great food should not only be healthy but delicious. With restaurant experience in Thai food, our team daily prepare a variety of fresh and tasty dishes. 

 

MAIN DUTIES:

• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment

• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking such as chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods 

• Check food condition consistently while cooking

• Ensure great presentation for dishes

• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen

• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly

• Check quality of ingredients

• Monitor stock and place order when there are shortages

• Supervise and train kitchen staff 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completion of secondary school is required

• Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks or at least two years of commercial cooking experience may be required

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English

• Exceptional customer service skills and team player
