Position Info:

• Position: Early Childhood Educator
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $20.00~$22.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: 3849 Parker Street, Burnaby, BC V5C 3B5

Benefits:

• 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Develop childcare programs to promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
• Build a great relationship with employees and children
• Evaluate the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss problems/progress with parents and other staffs
• Plan activities by taking children to field trips, reading books, and teaching songs
• Encourage and assist each child in carrying out daily routines such as proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
• Create and maintain healthy and safe environment for children
• May supervise activities of other ECEs and ECE assistants
• Observe children for the signs of potential learning of behavioral problems of children, and prepare reports for parents or supervisor

Job requirements:

• Experience: Experience as an Early Childhood Educator is an asset.
• Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required.
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate
• Language: English
