LONG HAUL TRUCK DRIVERS

Description

Load and unload goods, Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, Receive and relay information to central dispatch, Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travel and fuel consumption.

On the road job. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.

Language: English

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

2 years to less than 3 years truck-driving experience

Weight handling -up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Air Brakes Endorsement, Driver's License (Class 1 or A)

Tractor-trailer

Long-haul, Short-haul

Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment

Accident or incident reports, Bill of lading, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports

Driving record check (abstract)

Transportation/travel information

Valid driver's licence

Physically demanding job

Full-time permanent (at least 30 hrs per week)

Wage: $26.06 hourly -$27.10 hourly
