The primary focus of the Manager, Sales and Marketing will be the development and management of JL13 Concept Inc’s prospect portfolios for the new markets, as well as to fully exploiting business expansion opportunities for the new market, identifying the complementary  skillsets/competence/relationships/cost bases which may be advantageous to employ to best position JL13 Concept Inc. to succeed in the new market. The role ensures JL13 Concept Inc. is well positioned to nurture new client relationships.

The Manager, Sales and Marketing shall bear the designation of Business Optimization Manager – Sub Saharan Africa and shall report directly to the CEO of JL13 Concept. Their major job description include:

  • Develop promotional materials (Developing and delivery of marketing materials for delivery to Clients)
  • Hire, train, direct and motivate staff
  • Manage contracts (Spearheading various negotiations on Sales and Supply contracts, as well as ensuring that delivery on Purchase Agreements entered)
  • Market business services (Driving JL13’s foray into the new market)
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures
  • Assist in product development and direct and evaluate the marketing strategies of establishments
  • Establish distribution networks for products and services, initiate market research studies and analyze their findings
  • Maintain and manage digital database
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures (Ensuring Compliance with JL13's Integrity Policy and Risk Assessments requirements, as well as embracing a culture of compliance within the host country)
  • Assign, co-ordinate and review projects and programs
  • Oversee the analysis of data and information
  • Oversee the preparation of reports
  • Advise senior management
  • Organize and direct committees and working groups to plan, manage or evaluate projects and programs
  • Plan, develop and implement communication strategies (Facilitating client meetings to achieve business objectives and meet client needs)
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
  • Supervise staff or team
  • Manage business operations (Management of JL13’s business expansion foray and profitability index via strategic and tactical management decisions and new business development results)
  • Review and adapt information regarding product innovations, competitors and market conditions
  • Assess business opportunities and develop strategies (Determining new market entry requirements and developing a clear road map to successful entry)
  • Lead sales team in building relationships with business clients and manage negotiations of sales contracts
  • Develop and implement business plans
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations (Ensuring that JL13’s operations are within the ambit of the applicable regulatory policies, as well as developing and maintaining strong relationship with applicable regulatory agencies)
  • Direct and control corporate governance and regulatory compliance procedures within establish
  • Develop and implement marketing and advertising and sales strategies
  • Collaborate with specialists to develop programs for clients' special needs (Developing, nurturing, and broadening good business relationship with new and prospective clients)
  • Identify and assess potential institutional, business and individual client markets (Providing input to develop and deliver effective strategies to gain new business)
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies (Identify opportunities well ahead of time to enable advanced strategy development and positioning to guarantee first mover advantage in the new market)
  • Determine contract terms and conditions
  • Manage training and development strategie
  • Acting as an ambassador for cooperation in collaboration team members to ensure a coordinated approach to business growth and market expansion within the target region
  • Identification of prospective partners and the development of viable and workable relationship with local agents and partners.
  • Develop a strong relationship with local partners and maximise combined strengths to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship
  • Manage the Company's relationship with the various stakeholders
  • Negotiate community relations agreements for the delivery of Corporate Social Responsibility
  • Implementing region-wide strategy required for the success in the individual country of operation.

This position requires the supervision of between 5-10 people and a proficiency in the use of the following Computer and technology siftware/applications:

The ideal candidate will be one with the requisite experience in sales, marketing, business development, product development contract negotiation and market analysis.  An experience in security operations protocol and proficiency in a second West African language will be an added advantage.

The successful candidate will be required to provide a valid Criminal record check, and must posses the following:
