Job Duties:
1. Oversee and direct all aspects of sushi dishes production at all stations and ensure the high-quality presentation of the sushi dishes
2. Ensure all kitchen production procedures and standards are met by providing guidance to junior kitchen staff, line cooking, and dish plating
3. Create and update menus to offer new and innovative sushi dishes to the customers to meet their expectations and satisfaction
4. Responsible for stocking and ordering supplies to control the inventory and cost estimation
5. Collaborate with the kitchen manager regarding customers feedback to improve menu and dishes development
6. Manage kitchen equipment operations and the sushi station’s daily operation
7. Develop sushi-making policies and procedures to enhance and measure quality, and offer suggestions to improve the kitchen’s performance
8. Responsible for training and supervising junior kitchen staff to ensure they adhere to established standards of quality and safety
Qualifications:
1. A college diploma is required and culinary school training is highly preferred
2. Minimum 2 years of experience in sushi making position
3. Proficient with health and safety rules and regulations
4. Experience in food cost control
5. Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
6. Capability to teach and mentor others
7. Ability to adapt and make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environmen
