Description
Looking for a paid and exciting work experience in a green job within a natural resources sector? Do you meet all the criteria below?
- Between the ages of 15-30 (inclusive) at the start of the internship
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person granted refugee status in Canada*
- Legally allowed to work according to the relevant provincial and Canadian legislation and regulations
- Available to work for at least six months
*Refugee protection must be conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Persons awaiting refugee status, as well as those who hold a temporary visitor visa, student visa or work visa, are ineligible to participate in a Youth Employment and Skills Strategy initiative.

If you qualify as an applicant for Career-Launcher Internships, use it to your advantage! When applying to a job within the natural resources sector, inform employers that they could get up to $30,000 to cover up to 75% of the intern’s salary and 100% of training expenses if they hire Indigenous youth or youth in Northern, rural and remote communities. This only applies if their job position qualifies under the program.
