Our mission is to provide our clients with the highest quality paints and finishes in the industry. We are a fast-paced environment working as a team to strive for customer service excellence. We carry 1 major paint line and some stains, including: Benjamin Moore.

• MUST have retail paint or hardware or relevant trade experience.

We are looking for a dedicated, hard working experienced individual to join our fast-paced team.  The Job includes tinting paint, matching colors from a sample brought in by customers, communicating with customers in our store and on the telephone.  If you are eager to expand your career we've got a very strong team for you to join. You will need to have a positive and creative attitude with a willing to grow on
the job.
 
Here are major duties, tasks, and responsibilities that commonly make up the paint sales associate job description:
 
• Assist customers with paint identification
• Matching the correct paint to customer's needs
• Sell and apply various types of paints such as primers, sealers, and stains
• Inform customers about current sales or promotions
• Take paint from the warehouse to the sales floor and restock supplies
• Conduct demonstrations in paint application
• Maintain the work flow by taking paint from the warehouse to the sales floor and restock supplies
• Meet job responsibilities such as stocking paint supplies, cleaning up after painting projects, and
organizing displays
• Work with a team to meet job responsibilities such as stocking paint supplies, cleaning up after

• Practice proper safety procedures while working where and when it’s considered a hazard
• Provide customers with assistance in selecting the color, saturation, sheen level and additives as
necessary
• Be able to offer alternative solutions to products that have been discontinued
• Assist customers by loading products into their vehicle as required
• Ensure that all product containers are closed promptly to avoid spillage or contamination from dirt
or other contaminants
• Offer any sales incentives that may apply to particular product or transaction type
• Post the appropriate signage to highlight special offers, end of day promotional items and product
demonstrations
• Perform all tasks in an efficient manner with proper use of material handling equipment specific to
their department; availability of carts, dollies, hand trucks and/or forklifts
• Communicate with store personnel, monitor and test equipment for proper operation
• Identify errors in the system and promptly report to management accordingly
• Perform additional duties as may be assigned by the manager

 

Here are major requirements you may need to fulfil to be hired for the paint sales associate role:
 
• Must be over 18 years of age
• Fluent in the English language
• Be able to communicate well
• Be able to work at any time on any day of the week
• Can secure a driver’s license and transportation to commute to and from the store
• Have prospective accommodation in Canmore
• Available to work a minimum of 30 – 40 hours weekly
Have flexible working hours
• Have excellent hand-eye coordination
• Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Experience working with chemical products
• Senior High School Diploma, college level or equivalent qualification
