1239107 BC Ltd DBA South Wellness Centre is looking for 1 full-time Physiotherapist Assistant at 50 Tenth St, Nanaimo, BC, V9R6L6 .Salary is $22/hr and 40 hrs/week. (Even though this is a full-time position, we encourage part-time job seekers to apply as well.)

Job Duties: 

•    Assist during assessment of patients and carry out treatment programs and develop materials for use with patients
•   Carry out treatment programs under the direction of physiotherapists such as thermotherapy, traction, hydrotherapy and electrotherapeutic      techniques
•  Rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities to maximize their ability to independently manage daily activities.
• Set up and dismantle equipment
• Administer evaluative tests and procedures
• Clean and maintain equipment
• Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies
• Maintain clinical and progress reports
• Manage routine office functions including reception, telephone and booking appointments
• Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients

Employment Requirements:

Physiotherapy assistants require completion of a two-year physical therapy assistant (PTA) college program, or a two-year rehabilitation therapy assistant program and 6 months supervised practical training .
