Salary:

$46,500 per annum–The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions.

Other benefits:

Group insurance benefits including medical, dental and eye care coverage on a cost sharing basis would be offered upon completion of three months of employment period with the organization

Vacation:

4% of the gross salary

Hours of Work:

32.5 Hours a week; Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

  • Identify current and prospective recruiting requirements and prepare/post advertisements for the positions.
  • Collect applications, shortlist candidates and conduct all phases of the interview process.
  • Check references, background and utilize database of candidates to call and qualify applicants for employment and fill open job positions.
  • Advise job applicants on employment requirements and on terms and conditions of the employment.
  • Prepare offer of employments and other employment related contracts.
  • Perform various administrative tasks that support the recruitment function.
  • Perform support work with regards to employee relations initiatives and payroll processing.
  • Maintains current data base of offer letters, independent contractor agreements, and third-party agency agreement templates.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in the human resource sector/personnel administration is required.
  • College level diploma in a field related to personnel management such as business administration, human resources management, commerce or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Possess an understanding and working knowledge of MS Office suite to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
