Location: 4101 – 32 Street (Hwy.97), Vernon, BC, V1T 5P3
Salary: $18.00 per hour for 40 hours per week. Overtime applicable after 40 hours.
Asian Avenue Restaurant is Vernon's top choice for Chinese Buffet. Our private dining hall is perfect for any event, with capacity of up to 100 guests and with audio and visual equipment for entertainment or business. Currently, we are looking for 2 Restaurant Supervisors to join our team.
Responsibilities and Accountability:
• Ensure attitude is always friendly and courteous.
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
• Estimate and order ingredients and supplies.
• Ensure food service and quality control.
• Prepare food order summaries for chef.
• Prepare weekly work schedules and assign duties to the staff
• Address customers’ complaints or concerns.
• Maintain and monitor inventory, stock , repair and wastage and report to the restaurant manager.
• Assist with training of staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures when necessary.
Position Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school.
• Minimum of 1 year of working experience in food preparation or food services OR completion of a community college program in hospitality or other related discipline is required
• Fluent in English.
• Able to stand for long period of time.
• Able to work varying shifts, including weekends, holiday, and late night.
