Roofer Helper

MDM Roofing company is looking for a full-time and permanent 1 Roofer Helper in Surrey, BC, V3V 1M5. (Even though this is a full-time position we encourage part time job seekers to apply as well). Salary is 36.60/hr and 30to 40 hours/week.

Job Description:

• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment onto roofs and work areas.
• Assist roofers in preparing surfaces for installation or repair by cleaning, scraping, and removing old roofing materials.
• Carry and position roofing materials such as shingles, tiles, membranes, and metal sheets.
• Hold or supply tools, materials, and equipment to roofers as directed.
• Cut materials to specified sizes using hand tools, power tools, or equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized worksite to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Operate hoists, pulleys, and other equipment to lift roofing materials to heights.
• Ensure safety measures are followed, including setting up ladders, scaffolding, and fall protection systems.
• Remove debris and waste from roofs and job sites after completion of work.
• Assist in basic repairs, sealing, and waterproofing tasks under supervision.
• Follow instructions from roofers and supervisors to complete assigned tasks on time.
• Perform other labour duties related to roofing projects as required.

Employment Requirements and Education:

Will provide training. Completion of High School and experience is required.
