Description
Location: Downtown, GTA, Southern Ontario (various)
Key Job Duties
Reduce retail theft and shoplifting while improving workplace safety.
- Understand current issues in loss prevention and ability to be agile to respond quickly and effectively
- Pro-actively respond to retail theft and understanding of legal risks, responsibilities and processes
- Provide on-site coaching and assistance to security guards including help with use of Tracktick App as needed
- Acting in a security (loss prevention) capacity for vacant/missed shifts until relief can be found
- Determine when to contact head office management for assistance and when to call store managers about issues with scheduling
Skills Requirements
- Minimum post-secondary education
- Excellent communication skills and writing skills
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Possess a valid G level driver’s license with a clear driving record
- Must have medical training or diploma
- Must have strong record of making apprehensions
- Must have strong understanding of workplace safety
- Must have strong understanding of criminal, evidence and trespass laws
- Must have experience dealing with first responders and investigations
- possess excellent judgement, common sense and decision-making ability
- Proactive and highly resourceful
- Ability to work independently
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to work varied shifts including weekends and evenings
- Ability to speak multiple languages an asset
Terms of Employment: Full-Time, permanent
