Position Info:

• Position: Chef
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $31.00~$37.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: 4217 Hastings St, Burnaby, BC V5C 2J5

Benefits:

• 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Oversee and manage food preparation and cooking operations of the establishment
• Develop menus while ensuring all dishes meet quality standards
• Assess food supply needs and calculate food and labour costs
• Supervise cooks and kitchen workers to ensure efficient kitchen operations
• Coordinate the purchase and maintenance of kitchen equipment
• Hire and train new kitchen staff in safety and job duties
• Prepare and cook completes meals

Job Requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
