Wages:                       $18.00 to $19.00 per hour, 30 to 44 hours a week

Rehoboth Catering is an established and growing specialty catering company located in Oshawa Ontario and serving the GTA.  Rehoboth specializes in African Cuisine, namely Nigerian Authentic cuisine.  

We are seeking two self-motivated African-Cuisine Cooks to assist with food operations, preparation, and cooking at our catering establishment in Oshawa. The successful candidates will be responsible for planning food preparation and cooking activities as required in meeting customer demand. This includes preparing authentic African food for wedding occasions, birthdays, and community meetings. The candidates will also participate in various safety and workplace hygiene activities designed to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

This would be an opportunity for someone in the field to establish their career within a busy and dynamic environment. 

Job Duties:

  • Prepare and cook complete African meals & specialty food items, such as Jollof, Garri, Pounded Yam, Akara, Egusi Soup, Suya, and much more as offered on our Menus;
  • Plan cooking activities to meet customer demand during normal and peak seasons;
  • Cook, prepare and serve food during events such as birthdays, weddings, church events, etc.;
  • Ensure meals are consistently prepared as per the company specified recipes;
  • Oversee kitchen operations;
  • Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers as required from time to time;
  • Ensure all food items meet our quality standards;
  • Adhere to company health & safety protocols;
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and kitchen equipment;
  • Prepare and cook new or seasonal menu items as required;
  • Assist with keeping a clean kitchen and work area;
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and assist in training other staff members as required.
  • Assist with arranging deliveries.


  • Must have at least 3 years of African Cuisine cooking experience, in a commercial or restaurant setting.
  • Must have good time management skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
