Description
Position: Hairstylist
Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hour: 30 – 40 hour/week
Wage: $16 – $21 /hour (depending on experience)
Benefits:
- 10 days paid vacation per year or 4% of vacation pay
Job Duties:
- Suggest hair style compatible with client’s physical features or determine style from client’s instructions and preferences
- Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair
- Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to color, frost or streak hair
- Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair
- Apply hair extensions
- Shampoo and rinse customer’s hair
- Perform receptionist duties when needed and order supplies
- Train and supervise other hairstylists, hairstylist apprentices and helpers
Job requirements:
- 2 ~ 3 years of experience as a hairstylist
Educational Requirements:
- Completion of Secondary School is required.
