Tasks
• Responsible for Coordinated and optimized transportation routes to ensure the timely delivery of goods while minimizing costs.
• Negotiating contracts with carriers and suppliers to secure favourable rates and terms.
• Handling documentation, including bills of lading, customs forms, and other shipping documents, accurately and promptly is essential to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborating closely with internal teams such as procurement, warehousing, and sales to coordinate logistics activities and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
• Providing training and guidance to junior staff members involved in logistics operations.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and customers.
• Proactively identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements to enhance the company's competitiveness and profitability.
• Monitoring and tracking shipments in real-time to provide customers with timely updates on their deliveries.
• Conducting regular audits of transportation and logistics processes to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
